Speedwell, a leader in high-quality real estate investments in the Romanian market, is pleased to announce the strengthening of its operations in Poland. The company has appointed Michał Stępień, a highly experienced expert, as its Country Manager. This is a strategic decision aimed at fulfilling the company’s ambitious plans: to develop Speedwell’s Polish portfolio to a level comparable to its Romanian holdings.
Michał Stępień brings over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry to Speedwell, gained while working in leading development companies in Poland, such as AFI Europe N.V. Poland and Wilanów One. His impressive know-how includes managing large residential, office, and retail projects, as well as overseeing development strategy and business partner relations. In his professional career, he was responsible for, among other things, the development of the AFI Home platform and the coordination of processes related to banking and legislation, which makes him an excellent fit to lead operations in Poland and achieve Speedwell’s ambitious goals in our country. Michał Stępień is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (Finance and Banking) and completed his doctoral studies in finance management.

Speedwell is a Romanian development company with an investment portfolio valued at approximately 1.5-2 billion euros, comprising around 160,000 sqm of office and retail space, over 5,500 – 6,000 apartments, and 23,000 sqm of unique industrial space for small and medium-sized enterprises named SpacePlus. Since last year, the company has been dynamically expanding its operations in the Polish market as well.

Speedwell has been present in Poland since 2024. In Warsaw, construction is underway for a modern student housing project – MILESTONE Warsaw Mokotów, which will provide 675 beds across 565 rooms and is expected to be ready before the 2026/2027 academic year. In Gdańsk, in a joint venture with BPI Real Estate Poland, Speedwell is preparing to commence construction of a luxury residential investment valued at approximately 500 million euros, which will offer around 750 apartments across 36,000 m2. Construction in Gdańsk is anticipated to begin in the second half of the current year.
